Despite being established over 45 years ago, the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Football Team has yet to qualify for a major tournament. However, there is hope on the horizon for women’s football in Ireland as the national team prepares to qualify for the UEFA Women’s European Championships 2021.
With the hiring of new manager Vera Pauw and talented young stars, the future is as bright as ever in Ireland. Another positive sign that women’s football is taking off in Ireland is the growing popularity of the Women’s National League (WNL) and it’s bright young star, our featured guest, Rianna Jarrett.

A soccer prodigy growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, Rose Lavelle became an All-American at University of Wisconsin-Madison, made her way up through the ranks of the U.S. Women’s National Team youth squads, and received her first cap with the USA full squad in March, 2017 (where she was named Player of the Match).

Much to the dismay of everyone, HAO recently announced her retirement from international play, ending a celebrated career of 231 appearances for the U.S. Women’s National Team.
