U.S. forward Katie Stengel takes a break from her Australian club Newcastle Jets to chat with Adam about her experiences in the Westfield W-League, her experiences playing in the Frauen Bundesliga, her career to date, and more. With the W-League season just underway, Katie gives us insights into the team, the league, and a few reasons that keep her coming back to the Land Down Under.

The formidable striker also shares some of her experiences playing for Utah Royals FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). What makes the Royals special (it’s got to be that throne!)? After a successful college career at Wake Forest University, the Florida native played headed to Bayern Munich in the Frauen Bundesliga. Katie gives us a glimpse into why she chose to play abroad, what she learned about her game in Germany, and why her unique sense of humor was lost on the locals. University of South Florida (USF) women’s soccer team has posted 6 consecutive seasons of 10+ wins and 8 in the last 9 years, thanks in part to their fearless leader, Head Coach Denise Schilte-Brown. The coach takes time from the NCAA Div. l playoffs to chat with Patty about the amazing 2018 season where the Bulls finished14-3 and went 8-1 in the regular season.

With over a 100 wins under her belt at USF, Coach Schilte-Brown gives us insight into some of the things that makes her teams so successful. We also look at a few standout players, big lessons learned, and how difficulties can become strengths if you choose the right attitude! Ariane Hingst began her football journey with a ball at her feet as a youngster in Berlin. From then, she has grown into one of the most decorated women footballers of our time. Patty sits down with the footballing icon in an exclusive interview direct from VfL Wolfsburg training camp.

As the third-most capped player on the German Women’s National Team, Ariane was and still is a great contributor to the success of women’s football in Germany. As a player, Ariane achieved unparalleled accomplishments including 4-time UEFA Euro Champion, 3-time Olympic Bronze Medal winner, and 2-time Women’s World Cup champion. Now, as assistant coach at VfL Wolfsburg, the affable former defender is still impacting the game in the Fruen-Bundesliga.

The Westfield W-League is kicking off and our first guest of the season is Newcastle Jets head coach Craig Deans. The coach talks about his biggest challenges this season, some of the players he’s bringing back and a few he lost. Plus, what are his thoughts on how Melbourne City has transformed the league, the growth to the women’s’ game down under and lots more! If you’re as excited about the 2016-17 W-League season as we are, then this interview will give you a kick in the pants!

Megan Crosson
Our theme of hard-working footballers continues with Houston Dash midfielder Megan Crosson. After surviving two ACL tears at a very young age and being passed over in the 2016 NWSL college draft, the Santa Clara University midfielder could have given up a long time ago. But her passion and drive for the game she loved led her all the way to the NWSL. Still looking for more playing time, she recently went to Japan to play for Konomiya Speranza Osaka-Takatsuki of the Nadeshiko League. Meg shows that it’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you Fight! (you have to listen to understand). If you’re going through a set back of any kind, you’ll want to catch this interview with Meg Crosson and be prepared to get inspired!

England vs France
Our trusty co-host Adam Barlow suffered through the recent England vs. France friendly in Doncaster on October 21, 2016. The defensive play of both teams resulted in a 0-0 draw, and while the match wasn’t the most exciting of the year, we learned a few things from both teams.
