Erin McLeod!
Women’s World Football Show welcomes Canadian Women’s National Team goalkeeper, renaissance woman and overall great person – Erin McLeod. The Olympic bronze medalist talks about her evolution as an athlete, artist and ambassador to the women’s game. As we get closer to the 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada, Erin gives us a unique view of her country, club and colorful coach. The 31-year old reveals how she’s overcome some of the struggles she’s faced on her journey to self-discovery and the lessons she’s still learning. In a darkened sky void of athlete role models, Erin McLeod is a bright star for young fans to look up to and we’re proud to have her on the show!

Women’s World Cup Draw
The road to Canada continues as your hosts take a spirited look at the recently-revealed Women’s World Cup draw. Who has the best chances of getting out of their groups? The most fierce and fun match-ups? And which is the REAL Group of Death? All this, and we hear from USA skipper Jill Ellis.

Westfield W-League Roundup
The 2014 regular season of the Westfield W-League has docked and Cheryl Downes of The Women’s Game stops by to go over the semifinalists – Perth Glory FC, Melbourne Victory, Canberra United and Sydney FC. What were their strengths, weaknesses and MVP’s? Also Cheryl lets us know how the Aussies are taking the news of their “Group of Death” placing. Crikey!!

2014 College Cup
Are there leprechauns in Ireland? 2014 College Cup champion and Irish International, Megan Campbell doesn’t answer that, but does give us a borderline-hysterical view of her FSU experience. Alana “AJ” Johnson joins us with a full report from the tournament, as well as an interview with Texas A&M senior Kelley Monogue who discusses her intent to enter the NWSL college draft.

And…
Your hosts let off a little steam about the England hashtag situation, welcomes Doncaster Rover Belles’ new manager Glen Harris, and take a look at the Houston Dash’s latest marketing strategy.

Plus….
What was the last sport played on the Titanic? There’s a slight disagreement.

And speaking of the Titanic…

Ella also shares her thoughts on football in Sweden, her continuing growth in the game and the opportunities playing and living abroad has offered. Looking Back & Forward!
We’re looking back on our favorite clubs, leagues and events of 2016. To help us do that, WWFShow welcomes a few of our friends and contributors – Karen Valenzuela of Woso of the Post, Sophie Downey of Girls on the Ball, and RJ Allen of Backline Soccer. Let’s go!…

U.S. Women’s National Teamuswnt
It was an interesting year for the USWNT. Their many successes were unfortunately overshadowed by a disappointing Olympic performance in Rio. Karen gives us the highlights, lowlights, best player, what to look forward to in 2017, and more. Plus a spirited discussion on Jill Ellis, Hope Solo and Megan Rapinoe! Get out the dramamine because (like USA’s year), it’s a roller coaster of a ride!

fa_wslFAWSL and England
There’s only one source we go to when we’re talking all-things England, and england_soccer_400x400that’s Girls on the Ball! Sophie stops by to give us a look back on FAWSL 1&2 in 2016. Who were the stars of the league and what were some of the biggest matches and moments? And with big changes on the horizon, what does the future look like for both leagues? Sophie lays it all out for us. Plus, a look back on the England squad and insight into what 2017 holds for the team.

nwslNWSL
Its a league of intrigue and never-ending drama! So, it’s only fair we put the National Women’s Soccer League under the microscope. RJ is here to recap the season that saw great progress and at the same time, cringe-worthy moments (remember the baseball field fiasco in Western New York?). But despite the let-downs of the league, there were plenty up-sides including the emergence of great players, coaches and of course dream endings.

Christina Burkenroad
Adding to this show’s “inspirational” theme, we welcome BurkyOrlando Pride college draft pick, Christina Burkenroad.
